2nd day of work
The first day was a pretty labor intensive one. Today David´s farm crew came and helped out with the dirt work and on the pit. Great songs like ´´John Henry´´ and ´Big John´are frequently sung.
Here is Lee welding away. He's been doing this since we got here.
Here we are bending metal in forms for the re-bar to attach to. These tied 3 bars together to form the post that concrete would fill in (for the stage)
Here is our progress on the church, leveled floor and the wall for the stage almost done.
Here is Lee Anne doing a great job of teaching VBS. The is the old church building, it is right next to the new one.
A great experience here, there was a baptism. So we all went to another part of the farm and then had to take turns on the pump and all hold the pipe to get water in the baptistry. It was a great end to a hard day.

The pit (septic for the outhouse) got deeper today. It's supposed to be 33' by the end. They said it would take six days of digging.

The keyboard and internet are all in spanish so forgive me if this doesn't turn out right. Everyone is working hard and the girls are getting all the care packages together and doing a great job on the VBS. We planned for the worst and are getting the best. Lots of little stories to tell you all when we get back. Such as the political propoganda cars (with big speakers) that just drove by.

Man, I wish I could have gone with you guys. That looks like back-breaking, fulfilling work.
But I'm a wuss, so maybe it's better this way... :-)
