Caribbean Vacation pt 2
After Curacao we had a day at sea getting back up to St. Martin and played on the ship's rock climbing wall and in the pool. Once in port we did my geeky fulfillment of a longtime wish with a Segway tour of the area which was pretty cool, having never ridden one before. We then headed over to the French side of the island for shopping and lunch. Had some great French food at local diner and then shopped around. We planned on going to a smaller beach (been to Orient beach before) but with the heat that day and the time left we just headed back to the ship.In St. Thomas we did some shopping and then headed by ferry to St. John island to Trunk beach, supposedly one of the top 10 in the world. It was very nice and we were sad to only get a couple hours there. Snorkeling was great with underwater signs along the route. St. John would be a great place to spend the entire 7 days if we had to. Amazingly still part of the U.S. (Virgin Islands).
