Nicaragua Day 3
Friday, finishing day. Our final day of manual labor and we finished up our house for our grandmother. She has no income and relies on friends and family. The $800-1k in just materials would be impossible without the help from others and we had about 8 guys working 3 days straight. And when you see that they are living in a shack most of us would improve just to put tools or livestock in, it is very eye opening. Above you see the beds they sleep on. It was 3 hard days of work but overall a very satisfying experience working with a great team and given in Christian love. The other group got pretty far as well but was unable to finish. The local group will have to finish up later.
This evening we got to do VBS and the theme this year is David. Lots of crafts and singing. Tonight we had dinner at David & Kim's house and tomorrow we have our final day of VBS for the church here before heading south.
