Day 1 & 2 of VT trip
We were cutting through the Green Mtn Natl Forest and came across this great little walking bridge going over the roadside stream. The route to our cheap hotel up at the Stratton Mtn ski resort was a little like the Blair Witch Movie. When we finally emerged from the forest at the top there was a big resort town. We had a great pizza dinner and then to our cheap hotel. The lobby was closed. A sign said to check in down the road at this other hotel (much nicer). They told us we'd been upgraded! So after a nice time in the hot tub we are all off to bed in a pretty nice ski lodge.

This was a roadside place called the Apple Barn. It was about 45 degrees so the apple cider hit the spot. The also let us pick rasberries out of the field in back. It was a great stop to let the kids run and play.
We ate here for breakfast. Like most famous bldgs around here they date back to the early 1800's or earlier.
The first day was rough on the kids. Getting up at 4:30 and not sleeping on the plane.
Ye Olde Oyster House bld has been around since the early 1700's. While the restaurant has been there since the 1800's. We love Boston and have been a few times so we didn't stay long, plus the kiddos were tired and so we moved on.
