Ski Trip 2005
Taos '05
We headed for the NM mountains over President's Day weekend for a bit of skiing with our Young Families church class. We had a huge cabin for the 13 of us that went and really enjoyed the time together. Some skied during the day and others just enjoyed the cabin or shopping in the local mountain towns. We really enjoyed getting to know our friends that much better and hope we can do this or something similar again.
Skiing was good at Angel Fire but we had a near white-out in the afternoon and long lines much of the day. That made it even better here the second day at Taos. Nice new snow and plenty of sunshine--and no lines. It was a nice break doing one of my favorite things but it was sure nice to come home to our Claire-Bear. I pictured numerous times an older Claire getting pointers from her dad every time I saw a little kid learning to ski. But that would mean she'd have to grow up, and I'm not ready for that yet.
