Risley Ramblings

So a couple weekends ago we started work on our next project to remodel the extra bedroom and bath. It's kind of unique in that it has an external door and can be cutoff from the house so we will currently make it into our kid's playroom, but it would also be a great guest room or rental. The bathroom needed to be redone too so I just will do them both at the same time.

Down with the paneling in both rooms! New carpet in the playroom and new windows and door too. New sheet rock and sink in the bathroom. New trim and paint in both.

My dad came down and helped me re-insulate the attic and cut down and chip some trees and brush piles that had been an eye sore. I was impressed the "old man" of 67 still had that much work in him. :-) And was greatly relieved he did as it was too much of a chore for one person over the two days we did it. We removed the tree that partially fell this winter as well.
